LactoSpore® is a commercial probiotic ingredient from the Heyndrickxia coagulans strain that produces L(+) lactic acid (previously known as Bacillus coagulans and Lactobacillus sporogenes).

High viability and stability: Can deliver a high number of viable spores, with good stability during solid-dose processing and storage. As a spore-forming probiotic, LactoSpore® is generally more heat-tolerant than non–spore-forming lactobacilli used in some formulations.

GI transit resilience: The spores are designed to tolerate challenging conditions encountered in the upper GI tract (including exposure to stomach acid and bile) and may help the probiotic reach the intestine.

Gut activity: Once in the intestine, the spores may germinate and contribute to a lactic acid–producing environment that supports microbiome balance.
