LactoSpore® is a commercial probiotic ingredient from the Heyndrickxia coagulans strain that produces L(+) lactic acid (previously known as Bacillus coagulans and Lactobacillus sporogenes).
The human digestive tract is home to hundreds of bacterial species that help maintain a balanced gut environment by supporting beneficial bacteria and limiting the overgrowth of less desirable microbes. Among them, lactic acid–producing bacteria are one of the most prevalent groups.

High viability and stability: Can deliver a high number of viable spores, with good stability during solid-dose processing and storage. As a spore-forming probiotic, LactoSpore® is generally more heat-tolerant than non–spore-forming lactobacilli used in some formulations.
GI transit resilience: The spores are designed to tolerate challenging conditions encountered in the upper GI tract (including exposure to stomach acid and bile) and may help the probiotic reach the intestine.
